Lilker tees up to work on Jersey City golf course
Lilker Associates will perform the MEP engineering for the clubhouse of the Liberty National Golf Club, a new, one of a kind world-class golf club in Jersey City, N. J.
Situated at the end of a mile of waterfront golf, overlooking the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty, the clubhouse will comprise more than 50,000 s/f of luxury amenities, including a premier restaurant with private dining and meeting rooms, pro shop, member’s lounge, lockers and health spa.
“The design of the clubhouse building poses unique challenges for Lilker in that the building envelope will include full-height, curved-glass walls and smooth, contoured roofs,” said Philip Yee, P.E., principal and senior vice president at Lilker, who is overseeing Lilker’s work.
“With the project in the design development phase, cooling tower placement, air intake and exhaust discharge locations are delicate topics of discussion and will put our creativity to the test.”
The engineering core and shell construction documents are scheduled for completion mid-January 2007, followed by the interiors package, to be completed in mid-March 2007.
Completion of the clubhouse building is scheduled for summer of 2007.
